conversation with President Mohamed Irfaan Ali in Georgetown. He visited neighboring Guyana to attend the inauguration of President Ali and to discuss the collaboration between both nations.
Minister Bouva delivered a letter of congratulations on behalf of President Simons and emphasized the importance of joint projects and close diplomatic ties. He also mentioned the need for a more efficient way to improve the movement of people and goods between both countries. Minister Bouva also asked for structural improvements of the Canawaima Ferry which plays a crucial role in the daily connection between Suriname and neighboring Guyana. Both parties indicated that they are willing to further strengthen the existing collaboration in order to strengthen the bilateral relations in the interest of sustainable development and regional integration.
