return to society as they received their barber certificate a week ago after having taken a barber course for the last 6 months. The training program which is part of the resocialization program within the PID is aimed at teaching inmates certain skills that they can use to make an honest living after their release from the state penitentiary. It was carried out in association with Ellen Jordan from Stichting River of Jordan and Giovanni Moesé from Barbershop Kiwa. Frits Pinas from Barbershop Kiwa was the examinator. The warden of the PID, Marisca Boerleider, announced that because of the Barber training program a barbershop is being built within the prison walls. The head of the Prison Guard Force (KPA), Joyce Pané-Alfaisi, expressed her gratitude to the organizations and people who have lent a helping hand to the program.
