Turkey, to continue diplomatic talks over Iran’s nuclear programme, stated that negotiations with the U.S. “cannot proceed while our country is under bombardment.” Meanwhile, the conflict continues to escalate. The Israeli military has targeted a nuclear site in Isfahan, central Iran, while the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) report that they intercepted multiple Iranian drones and missiles overnight.
The IDF also claimed responsibility for the assassination of Iranian commander Saeed Izadi in the northeastern city of Qom during the night.
Elsewhere, U.S. Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has said that Iran could produce a nuclear weapon “within weeks,” following criticism from former President Donald Trump, who stated that she was “wrong on Iran.” (BBC)
