MIAMI - Jairzinho Rozenstruik and Alex Caceres competed in non-UFC bouts for the first time in a long time, with both experiencing vastly different results.
In Saturday’s Dirty Boxing 2 main event at The Hangar in Miami, Rozenstruik took on MMA veteran Victor Cardoso, and the heavily favored Rozenstruik picked up the victory via second-round knockout to close the show.
Rozenstruik got tagged a couple of times early on by Cardoso, but eventually got rolling, landing big jabs and utilizing his massive reach advantage. “Bigi Boi” stayed patient early on. As the second round began, Rozenstruik continued his approach against the considerably underskilled Cardoso before landing a huge punch that folded Cardoso over. Rozenstruik followed up with ground-and-pound and the referee stopped it.With the win, Rozenstruik next faces Rob Perez, who knocked out Alex Nicholson earlier in the night, for the promotion’s inaugural heavyweight title.
