was earlier this week certified for sales and streaming equivalent to 100,000 units. The certification was issued by Syndicat national de l’édition phonographique, which translates to National Syndicate of Phonographic Publishing (SNEP).
This is the sixth gold certified single in France for Sean Paul. He previously earned gold certifications for Get Busy, Hey DJ with CNCO and Meghan Trainor, Dancing on Dangerous featuring Sofia Reyes, Dynamite featuring Sia and Boasty with Wiley, Stefflon Don and Idris Elba. Incidentally, Sean Paul has three albums that have been certified by SNEP. Dutty Rock has gone gold, while The Trinity was certified 2x platinum. Tomahawk Technique has a gold certification. On the singles side, Sean Paul has Diamond certifications for No Lie (with Dua Lipa) and Rockabye (by Clean Bandit featuring Sean Paul and Jess Glynne). Mad Love has a platinum certification.
Shaggy, on the other hand, has only one gold-certified single in France, with Boombastic, while It Wasn’t Me was certified platinum. Go Down Deh has more than 303 million views on YouTube. The song was produced by Constantin ‘Costi’ Ionita and Shaggy. It was previously certified platinum in Canada for the sales and streaming equivalent of 80,000 units. (Jamaica Observer)
