with a sharp object on the day in question. A witness rushed to the Santodorp Police Station to inform the police that a man had been stabbed by his cousin and that he was bleeding in his vehicle. The police officers rushed to the scene and confirmed that a man was indeed sitting in his car while bleeding. The preliminary investigation indicates that the victim went to visit his aunt when her daughter, S.A., came home. When the victim hugged his cousin, she pushed him away and his smartphone fell into the ditch. The cousins then started arguing with each other and the argument quickly turned physical. The man punched his female cousin who then snatched his gold necklace and throw it in the ditch. S.A. then went inside the house and returned with a sharp object which she used to cut and stab her cousin. The victim was put in an ambulance and taken to the Emergency Room of the Academic Hospital Paramaribo (AZP). He has reportedly been admitted to the hospital for observation. S.A. is currently in jail awaiting trial.
