R.M. was pronounced dead upon arrival at the Emergency Room of the Academic Hospital Paramaribo (AZP). Reports indicate that the woman was rushed to the Emergency Room by her 29-year-old partner W.K. The woman swiftly became unwell after having consumed a smoothie in her house which is located in Geyersvlijt. W.K. told the police that R.M. started screaming and complaining about stomach cramps after she had drunk the smoothie which she has made and which contained bananas and milk. He first rushed her to the Emergency post at the St. Vincentius Hospital but when the medical treatment did not produce the desired results, he was referred to the ER at the AZP. The woman’s body was taken to the Coroner’s Office for an autopsy to determine the cause of death. The investigation is ongoing.
