No students saw the incident, as it happened outside the classroom, he said, adding that the gunman then left to go home, and since then all the children had been picked up. In a statement on Facebook, Chonburi Governor Naris Niramaiwong confirmed that all 44 children were safely evacuated along with three teachers and three other staff members. He said police had surrounded the house where the gunman was and were negotiating his surrender. Naris ordered the kindergarten closed and said psychological support will be provided to children and staff who witnessed the incident.
