players deport migrants and build a border wall — drawing swift criticism from rights groups during the administration's stepped-up deportation campaign. The games include "Rio Run," a Snake-inspired game showing border czar Tom Homan chasing migrants of different skin colors along the Rio Grande; "Build the Wall," a Tetris-style game whose instructions say to "protect the border from the coming horde"; and a third game about collecting nets for "Trump Accounts," investment accounts with $1,000 deposits for children born 2025–2028. A White House video posted on X featured a Sega-style logo, saying "CAN'T STOP WINNING. Build the wall. Deport. Fill a Trump Account." The White House defended the site as an innovative way to "tell the story of the President's many accomplishments," contrasting "a culture of fun and winning" against "the dark socialist vision Democrats have for America." Critics condemned the games. Amerika Garcia Grewal of the Frontera Federation in Eagle Pass, Texas, said the games made her sick, noting the administration has "been playing games with people's lives for years." Adriana Jasso of AMIGOS San Diego Community said the games showed a "lack of seriousness" and that the cruelty "is no longer surprising," accusing the administration of dehumanizing and ridiculing migrants even as people die in detention centers: "This presents the issue as if it were a game, when in fact it is not." Trump campaigned on expelling millions of undocumented migrants and has acted to speed deportations and reduce border crossings. His White House has a history of social media stunts to troll liberal opponents, and has previously sparked backlash from artists over unauthorized use of their music. (Bssnews)
